As part of Destination: PHI, Sonication is a hybrid experience, halfway between a film set and a festive happening. The performances played on the roof are transcribed on PHI Centre’s screens. In order to quench the thirst for rhythmic experiences of music lovers, curious minds and fans of Sonication's featured artists, these original performances are featured in a 12-episode, 30 to 45 minutes web series broadcast every Wednesday from July 22 to October 7.

The concerts are available for viewing from 8:30pm and the broadcast ends 48 hours after the event begins. Sales end 1 hour before the end of the event.

Chivengi

Chivengi is a Montreal based experimental r&b singer/songwriter and sound designer. Chivengi brings the audience to a place of self-examination using ambient experimental sounds and r&b melodies, tracing an intimate and vulnerable universe.

Trinisha Browne

Born in Trinidad & Tobago, Trinisha grew up in a household of Reggae, Gospel, Hip-Hop, and 90’s R&B which had a heavy influence in her music direction. Her love for music, visual art, and poetry led Browne to explore various artistic opportunities in the city of Montreal. In 2016, Trinisha Browne released her first EP ‘Free-write’.
